Our family has been camping here for over two decades, the site never disappoints. Cold Lake is a great destination for many reasons, and camping is just another great reason to go there.

We reserved a campsite right on the lake. Enjoyed the stay. Good amenities but the washroom was full of mosquitoes.

Overall we were pretty happy with this campground. We had a site in the back away from most other campers for some quiet and privacy, which they helped us pick when we did our reservation. The facilities are in great condition, lots of amenities for families and a generous portion of wood for CDN$12 at the time of writing.

Although the Cold Lake M.D. Park is nice, the two tenting sites are located as an afterthought and hardly attractive or convenient to get to. They are placed where the evergreens drop needles and cones which are tracked into your tent. Ideally a little thought and consideration should be given to tent sites ie they should be placed on a raised bed of grass topped area, large enough for a 12' by 20' space. This should be placed close to where you park your car. When I asked if a tent could be erected in the much nicer RV sites which were mostly unoccupied I was told I would have to pay $30/night even though I wouldn't be using any electricity. That didn't make sense to me. There were mosquitos as well in the bathroom in a higher concentration than outside. Not sure why but it made you think twice about taking a shower. I believe the M.D. should look at enhancing their tent sites and number of tent sites at this camp site and also their policies when so many more attractive RV sites were available at the time I was visiting from Southern Alberta

Cold Lake is an amazing community. The lake offers a wide variety of activities for all ages. The campground is well kept. They beach is continually being improved. A splash park for children and a zip line into the lake for all ages have recently been installed. It offers a great selection of parking close to the beach. It is a great summer location to relax in the sun. There are some great restaurants close by. There are fun winter activities as well, such as ice fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
