I think his work would be different had I been able to pay his rates myself. My common law and I had to email his assistant to remind her even though we are legal aid clients, we deserved to be treated with kindness and respect like a fully paying client. The tough part of being a client with no money is feeling like our freedom is worth as much as anyones. Hes not the only lawyer who does this. Just one Ive experienced.
