Fantastic little gem in Cold Lake offering authentic Mexican food and atmosphere at reasonable rates.
We arrived last night as party of 6 and within a few minutes were greeted by our friendly waitress who provided us menus and took our drink order. Drinks came in good time and she took our food order. To that point it was good but then it took a bad turn. We waited a full hour for the first 3 meals to arrive, another 10 minutes for the 4th and 5th meal and another 10 minutes for the 6th meal. In that time the waitress never came by to tell us things were backed up in the kitchen, to see if we wanted another drink, if we would like our long empty water glasses refilled or offer us some salsa and chips or other appetizer (hopefully complimentary) to while away the time and take the edge off our hungry stomachs. The food and atmosphere was decent (not great but decent) but the kitchen and wait staff gotta do way better than they did last night to be able to remotely recommend the place. One more thing, there is not a double entrance door for what is a fairly small restaurant and it got pretty cold inside from the fall cold air at times when people were coming and going regularly. Best install a double door or people will freeze when winter comes.
Had a long day driving and we decided to eat here... did NOT disappoint! Awesome food and service with a great price point.
This place offers surprisingly delicious and well-priced Mexican food. Staffs were very nice as well. The mole sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste but foods were very yummy overall. We will definitely be back for sure!
